Mission Statement
The mission of the Southern Arkansas University Alumni Association, Inc. is to strengthen the connection of our alumni, former students, and friends through fostering meaningful engagement opportunities, providing increased awareness and support of Southern Arkansas University, and increasing member participation.
Role and Scope
Southern Arkansas University Alumni Association, Inc. strengthens the connection of our alumni, former students, and friends with Southern Arkansas University by promoting pride, providing meaningful activities, and fostering increased engagement opportunities for life. The Southern Arkansas University Alumni Association, Inc. collaborates with the Southern Arkansas University Foundation, Inc. and Office of Development in stewarding and reporting gifts.
Southern Arkansas University promotes an atmosphere of learning and growth. SAU provides opportunities for alumni, former students, and friends to gather and enhance their knowledge of SAU and engagement with the SAU family. SAU and Southern Arkansas University Alumni Association, Inc. partner to provide information and participation opportunities to advance the University.
SAUAA operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the intent and meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The SAUAA promotes the general welfare of Southern Arkansas University as an institution committed to promoting learning through teaching, research, scholarship, creative accomplishment, and service.
